CILA abuse is any intentional or inappropriate action that harms a resident physically, emotionally, or financially. This mistreatment can take many forms, including:
Abandonment
Leaving a resident without proper care, supervision, or support, putting their well-being at serious risk.
Neglect
Failing to meet a resident’s essential physical, emotional, or medical needs, resulting in harm or suffering.
Financial Exploitation
